Elsie's Attic - Quite possibly the most perfect tutu!

Good morning/afternoon/evening you gorgeous lot,

Thanks for popping by to my blog! I've got quite a special one to share with you today as for once it's not photos I've took in my mirror or images taken off of the internet.. oh no.. I've gone all out and got the professionals involved for this one!

Introducing the wonderful Nicola from Nicola White Photography (although it's certainly not the first time I've mentioned her on my blog as I just love her work!) I had the pleasure of teaming up with Nicola to get these images of quite possibly the most perfect tutu I've ever seen from Elsie's Attic, now you may have heard me mention them before too as they are actually a stockist of my tshirts , if you haven't already checked them out then you should go and have a peek, especially if you are tempted for a tutu this year, I'm obsessed with mine!

Elsie's Attic tutu's start from £50 for the mini and go up to £65 for the maxi, the one I'm wearing in these images is the midi and is £55. Personally I think for the amount of fabric you get and just how special this skirt makes you feel, it's worth every penny - and I promise I'm not being paid to say this!
This charcoal colour is my favourite, and that probably doesn't come as too much of a surprise! However, they come in the most delicious colours such as antique rose, baby pink, apricot and peach to name a few! I know, I know.. spoilt for choice right!?

I decided to put the skirt with a few different looks to show you that by all means a tutu doesn't mean it has to be for a special occasion, I loved wearing it with my trainers, Cordelia Hangry tshirt and leather jacket for a completely different look...

However, I'll admit, as soon as I put it with a sequin top and heels... I felt like an absolute princess!!! I soon started swishing around it, whether the camera was on me or not, and Nicola caught the moment perfectly...

I teamed the clothes with my everyday necklaces, I think adding too much bling would have took the emphasis away from the skirt. So I wore my Stone + Armour personalised necklace and my Missoma London gold horn - I love mixing metal colours and I think both worked really well against the grey tulle tutu fabric..

I'm having abit of an Avril Lavigne in this next image.. I used to LOVE her!!

Just incase I forget my own name.. both necklaces courtesy of Stone + Armour!

Look how happpppyyyyy I look!! haha :D

I was lucky enough to pick up this sequin top from Lavish Alice in the sale a couple of years ago so  unable to link where to get it from, but you can pick up the Calvin Klein tshirt at Urban Outfitters..

I hope you've enjoyed this post, sadly I can't promise professional pics all the  time going forward.. but if any photographers out there want to team up then pop me a message across here! :)

Thank you Elsie's Attic for designing this stunning skirt, and thanks again Nicola for such a lovely day shooting these shots in the most random graffiti spot in Nottingham ;)

Do you think you'll be tempted to purchase one? I'd love to see if you do! Tag me on instagram (@cordelia_hearts) or using the hashtag #CordeliaHearts  for me to see <3

Hipster Sunnies

Oh it's breaking my little heart looking back over these pictures from when we were sunning ourselves in Marbella the other week! and now... the sky is grey and I'm not a happy bunny about it!

Still, I just had to tell you about the fabulous 'Hipster Sunnies' from Manchester, and what better way to do it than in the form of these gorgeous people I had the pleasure of spending the day with at Plaza Beach Club on Nikki Beach..

My personal favourite pair are the Safari Sunseekers, (pictured below) round framed with a  gorgeous tortoise shell trim - & only £22.95!

I first stumbled across Hipster Sunnies when I was at a crafty little indoor market on Deansgate last year, possibly even the year before, and I was instantly drawn to their frames due to the fact that they were a little quirky but still wearable. From punk frames to frames John Lennon would be proud of, their selection was huge! and since then I've watched them grow on Instagram and see them pop up at many a festival - have you spotted them yet?

Pop over to see if anything takes your fancy, their frames start at only £18.95 and they do free shipping too!

You know when you just know...

Oh hello you,

It's been a little while hasn't it! ... and I call myself a blogger? Shame on me! (Actually I don't think I ever call myself a blogger haha, but if I did.. then I'd be a failing one for the amount I post on here!)

I have SO much in the pipeline at the minute, that I'll be totally honest I don't know where to start..

Firstly, I'm so happy to announce that I'm now an official contributor on the fabulous Bella Coco blog - for those of you that don't know, Sarah-Jayne, founder of Bella Coco is a good friend of mine - we only met a few years ago but we are so similar in so many ways that we formed a good friendship in a little amount of time - you know when you just know that you're meant to be friends with someone? (although, weirdly we knew of each other when we were like 15 and I didn't think she liked me haha, this was new news to SJ when I told her - why do girls do that?! I'M THE WORSE FOR IT!)

Well, SJ recently asked me if I would like to be part of her next big venture and I, of course, jumped at the opportunity!

There's little old me, bottom left, but I'm on a mission to get that picture changed asap!!
I've recently spent the day getting some photos for my first post on Bella Coco, so fingers crossed I'll soon be able to let you know when the post is live - they were taken by the fabulous Nicola White, from Nicola White Photography - who may I add, is also a contributor on SJ's website and I'm so excited to see the final shots. (although I spent half the time saying things like, 'Don't get my face in please!' 'Can you get rid of that fake tan streak?!' 'Can you make me look like Lucy Williams?' so I feel quite sorry for her for taking on the challenge ;))

The pic below was taken when we had finished our shoot, safe to say at this point we were freezing and well ready for a hot chocolate!
So theres me on the left, my pal Jade at the bottom, Laura from Stone + Armour at the top
and Nicola on the right.

Secondly, I have been stocking t-shirts over at the lovely Elsie's Attic, and for the first part of 2016 my dining room became a Cordelia workshop - it was so much fun and I'm excited to work with them more in the near future. I have a collab coming up with them soon featuring their GORGEOUS Tulle Skirt and can't wait to show you some of the pics, I'm not going to lie, I thought I was Carrie Bradshaw for a split second!

The house is coming on well, there's so much that I still want doing - including new carpets throughout, oh and the boiler recently packed in, so it's a slow process, but it's getting there! This week I shared a picture of our new lamp.. I'm in love!

You may have already seen this video as I've spammed the hell out of it on social media haha, oh come oooon let me off, it was a pretty big deal for me ;) but I recently supported No7 with a contouring video to support the launch of their new contour/highlighting kit.

You should be able to click on the play button to watch it if I've done this correctly...

I recently had quite a bit of involvement with Nottingham Fashion Week - did you go? It was so much fun and I'm already looking forward to next years!

I was SO proud to see Cordelia featured on the catwalk for the Nottingham Independents at the Nottingham Contemporary, I just loved seeing some of you there - it meant the world to me. I was interviewed on stage by the fabulous stylist Kimmy Rolfe and was totally nervous but really happy I pushed my boundaries and spoke infront of the crowd!

I was preeetttyyyyy nervous at this point!

Oh and next week I'm going to Marbella for a hen-do, which I was quite chilled out about - until yesterday I realised that none of last years shorts fit and I've ran out of money to buy anything new because hey, who knew, Marbella's sliiiightly pricey! I'm hoping to bribe my mates into taking some oh so candid shots of me casually chilling by the pool or something... but I think there will be far too much vodka and willy straws for that ;)

I have a couple of brand collabs coming up that I can't talk about at the minute but really excited to share with you...

Oh, and then I have my full-time job.  Which is in no way related to any of the above haha.

It's safe to say I'm a busy bee, but I honestly wouldn't want it any other way, I just hope it explains why my blogposts have been abit.. well.. non existent! ..but you can still see daily updates on my Facebook and Instagram

I'd love to know if you would like to see any particular posts from me by commenting on this post, do you prefer more images than this? more text? less text? personal posts or more general fashion inspo posts? I write these for YOU to read so would love your feedback x

Until next time girlies, and possibly some guys?!
