About me

Hi! *waves excitedly that you've visited page

My names Jenn and I'm a newly turned 30 year old 'grown up girl' from Nottingham.

I never went to university -  after leaving school I went straight into retail & worked at some of the cutest boutiques Nottingham had to offer at the time. After discovering that Paul Smith too worked at one of them when he was younger, Birdcage boutique, it inspired me & sparked my interest in running my own fashion business & with my friend opened up our own boutique 'Pink & Lilly'.

Over the years I went from boutique retail to luxury retail & my ultimate dream has always been to combine the two & open another boutique one day.

For now, I work at Boots head office in a social media role & Cordelia is my hobby. For me, Cordelia is an outlet where I can be myself, whether that be through my blog, social media or by throwing a statement on a tshirt & stocking boutiques with them around the UK.

I'm a self confessed shopaholic, but like most, certainly can't afford to be! woops! So blogging has helped with a lot as it almost records how much I buy (spend!) & also has its perks by sometimes getting items free too to share with you. (bonus!) I just love showing people what I've discovered in shops & also promoting smaller lesser known businesses too, because believe me - retail is a tough world & independents need all the support they can get, & appreciate it too :)

My Grandad was a shop proprietor owning a shop called 'Cordells' for over 30 years, from being a little girl playing in his stock room I always knew I wanted to do something similar.. so that's why I started 'Cordelia', a feminine twist on Cordells (I certainly won't be selling hoovers like he did!) and definitely not opening a shop anytime soon, but who knows where this blog might take me.

I really hope that you enjoy reading my blog & it inspires you in some way - I have an interest in most aspects of life so I can't imagine that it will always be predominantly fashion based - & of course your comments, support & advice are ALWAYS welcome!
