Cover it up beach!

Ahhh I've been wanting to write this post for so long now - I am literally the worlds biggest kaftan fan - I have a section in my wardrobe dedicated to them, but my gosh ladies, we are spoilt for choice this year! Literally, EVERYWHERE is selling them & they are getting better & better by the week, I thought I'd do a little post to share some of my favourite with you..

Dancing Leopard

Ok, so Dancing Leopard is one of my favourite ever go-to summer brands! I stumbled across them early last year via Facebook, not entirely sure how, someone must have shared their page on my newsfeed, but woweee I've literally banged on about the brand ever since! They use traditional indian patterns mixed with boho fashion influences to create some of the most stunning beach cover-ups.. like this...
This is the Peacock Tassle Kimono & it's one I personally own - I wear it on my holidays or simply with jeans and a silk-mix vest for ultimate luxury, I don't think I've worn it & not received a lovely comment to date!

I absolutely love this Genie Jumpsuit, there's a peach version in the sale at the moment that I'm tempted to buy!
This wrap-around toga Mermaid Dress is genius! It would look so stunning with lots of boho jewellery layered for the evenings, not only that, once unravelled, it doubles up as a beach blanket! Amazing idea for the light packers!
What's even better about Dancing Leopard is that nearly all of their items are classed as one size, so there's no worries about what size you would need. I shouldn't have written this post - I'm already deciding which one to buy next as I write this... woops.

Pretty Little Thing

I'm a fairly new follower to this brand, thanks to nearly every blogger on the high-street bloggersphere who have been featuring their pieces on instagram @officialplt, it caught my attention. Some of it is VERY girly and includes a lot of pastel colours, especially their The Paradox Collection which adorns a beautiful cloud print design on a few pieces in the collection (see below) I do feel that maybe I've passed my sell-by-date for showing as much skin as below, but I know for a fact some of you lot would look INCREDIBLE in them & they are great prices too!..

Which now leads me to their kimonos & kaftans - I've just double checked their website & I knew I was a fan for a reason - they have 46 to choose from!!! Now if we can't all find one we like from that amount then somethings not quite right.. & I for one NEED at least 5 of them in my life, which I've featured below for you - but make sure you take a peek at the rest of them too, you're literally spoilt for choice..
I really like how this kimono can be worn in so many different ways, would look fab over a bikini but I can see myself wearing this at work with some floral patterned trousers & vest - plus its only £15 & comes in black & pink too.

I absolutely love the long length of this floral one, it comes in a pinker version too which is beaut & is £30.
I couldn't decide whether to post a picture of the black or the white version of this kimono because I love them both equally - I think it helps that the model looks like Kendal Jenner though! These ones are £24 & the only issue I have is deciding which one to buy..

And last but not least..

Julia Hearts U

I stumbled across this gorgeous little brand on instagram (@juliagetstattoo) one day & started talking to Julia, the lovely lady who hand-makes these kimonos - since then I have watched her brand grow & she now has a large range of kimonos to choose from some of the most stunning fabrics! (My personal favourite being a green sequin one - oh my - its yummy!)
This is the gorgeous Leeanne Wells who recently modeled for me for a Cordelia photoshoot, she's such a natural little beaut & looked so pretty in the Julia Hearts U kaftans.. (Photographer @broganrrr)

This is the stunner that I've fallen in love with - you can buy it HERE for £35
Love these 2, they are almost like wearing artwork!

Already planning my winter wardrobe that needs to include one of these!
I have recently had a little give-away on @cordelia_hearts to win a Julia Hearts U kaftan, the winner has been announced now but keep your eye on their instagram incase there are any more!

So there you go, some of my favourite kaftans this year, do you have a holiday booked? I hope this post has helped you if you have - I in absolutely no way what-so-ever need another kaftan but I know how I'm going to be spending my next half an hour... (online shopping!) oh and one more to show you..

I was tempted to keep this a secret but I can't do it - I found this absolute BEAUT on eBay, ok so it's from China & might not ever show-up (wouldn't be the first time!) but for £6 including postage I think it's worth the risk... Vintage Lace Kimono - That's the link, don't say I never treat you! :)

J & C

Hey there you lovely lot!

Wow its been far too long since I last blogged, the last few weeks have been pretty insane - it's been wedding central! I've loved every second of it but that, combined with going for endless interviews and finally gaining an exciting new job at Boots, it's left little time for Bella Hearts - but I'm back & have been in touch with some very exciting companies that I can't wait to share with you...

Which leads me to perfectly on to J&C! It took me approx 2 instagram posts of theirs to know I had fallen for the brand.. which were along the lines of this..

Ok so I'm not going to lie... the initial attraction was the fact that JC are my initials and I took it as a sign that I needed to know more! Every single day an inspirational quote was posted onto their instagram..
.. this combined with some of the most beautifully cut clothing from the catwalks it kept my interest at its highest and I just had to message them to see what it was all about! Well, the message that I received back was music to my ears - not only were they the best at posting inspirational quotes and #ootd's but they were just teasing us until their own brand launched! HELLO! Well that was that, I knew I had to own a piece of J&C before I'd even seen one single items of their own collection.. but then these teasers started making their way on to my newsfeed..

I instantly knew I'd discovered an absolute gem and began to notice a hype around the launch of J&C with some of the best bloggers and media coverage discovering them too.

Since the launch of J&C's website www.jcstudios.bigcartel.com the fashionistas have all been wanting to get their hands on a piece - if you love simple styling with a twist then this is the brand for you, not only that, each piece is handmade and the attention to detail is simply stunning.

I decided to take my gorgeous J&C Sunia Air top with me to a recent photoshoot (£32) - I LOVE these pictures taken by the fabulous Brogan Ryan, lets be honest the model, Scarlett Ward would look amazing in literally ANYTHING, but she looks exceptionally fit in this faux black leather top with lazer cut squares - literally some of my favourite images from the day & they weren't even of my Cordelia tshirts!haha..

So there you go, I hope you take the time to look at this new brand, there's not many out there at the minute that get it bang on AND hand-make the items too, I am completely sold with them.. Oh and I NEED this Rimba mesh dress in my life, (£38) simply to throw over a bikini on holiday, minimalist perfection and the highest possibility that you won't go bumping into someone with the same piece! :)

Inside my head..

Hey you lovely lot!

Ok, so this isn't a usual post of mine! I mean, it's not going to be telling you how fabulous a dress is or that you NEED a necklace that I'm currently lusting after - fear not, they ain't going anywhere!.. but this time, I just wanted to talk a little bit about.. well... me!
Me. 29. Pisces. Emotional.
Shopaholic.

You know when you just want to write something & the importance isn't that someone will read it, more so that you have got the thoughts out of your head? I've done it for yeeaaars, as a kid, well I'd say 10 onwards, I always had penpals or diaries to jot my thoughts down onto - you know, the ones with a lock on it so your parents couldn't read it? (by the way, LIES, they can.. I wish I knew that before I was writing down that I had a huge crush on my next door neighbour!)
I'll never forget a girl I used to write to called Sam, she put bracelets in my letter once.. yeh I know really nice of her right? Until she wrote 'I've put some shag-bands in the envelope for you' ...well seeee yaaa later Sam, coz my dad didn't let me reply to that one! haha, I've never spoke to her since either, I wonder if she got hers snapped in the end ;) (if you are under the age of 25 I don't think you will have any idea what I'm on about...I've attached a pic of said bracelets)

Yep, these are shag-bands & I wore them all the way up both arms! Do you remember them?
So I'm sat here on a Saturday night with a glass of wine, I've just had my teeth whitened & I'm in friggin agony!! Have you had them done before? ... Oh god.. wait, sorry I need to interrupt my train of thought.. the footballs on & Englands playing, so like a lot of girls out there, for the evening I will pretend I'm interested ;) .. but my bf Stu has decided that it being on the tv isn't enough & he's now blasting 'Vindaloo' as loud as he can through his ipad, one sec, I need to get a pic of this - he is LOVING LIFE!

He's going to KILL ME for this picture, he has no idea I've took it as he's so fixated in this music vid.. if for any reason you read this blogpost twice, you might find that it's not here next time round!! haha..
So anyway, as I was saying.. what was I saying?.. (*quick peek at last paragraph..) teeth whitening! Oouuucchh! I'm in so much pain, worth it, as they do look better, but theyre SO sensitive right now to the point I want to pull them out.. I'm a bridesmaid next week for the first time ever & the bride & maids are all proper glamour-trons, so I thought I'd have them done as to not lower the tone in the photos ;) to be fair, they were pretty white anyway (according to the dental nurse lady..) but sometimes you just need a little sommat to make you feel better... which is why I'm having my hair, nails, eyelashes, brows and tan done too! haaha... natural beauty me! paha! ;)
The bride, Lisa, is stood next to me in the blue dress, the leggy brunette! We've known each other our whoooole life & I can't wait to walk down the aisle behind her.. #proudmoment

I've been thinking lately that I LOVE writing the fashion posts on Bella Hearts, it's borderline all I think about.. but it has recently crossed my mind that I'd like to bring a bit of 'me' into it too.. you know, abit Carrie Bradshaw'esq, my stepsister always tells me that I remind her of her, & I'm not going to lie, sometimes I do think 'What would Carrie do' when making life decisions - so I'm thinking I might just ride the huge compliment wave & see where it takes me.. (Please, if you think this is THE WORSE blogpost you've ever read then don't be afraid to tell me, I might not ever talk to you again.. but I'd value your opinion!)

I just feel like I speak to sooo many people on insta, facebook etc & some people message me saying 'I wish I had your job' or 'How did you get into fashion'.. but they couldn't be more wrong! I'm just an over-sharer! I see a dress I like, I share it, see a necklace I like, I share it.. I've always worked in retail, which at one point included opening a couple of boutiques in Nottingham (Pink & Lilly incase anyone reading this is from Nottingham) so I do know a thing or two about styling & make sure I'm aware of new brands or something that little bit different to what you can find on the high-street, but my real life job is actually in recruitment at Boots head office! Not so glam hey! haha.. Although, don't get me wrong, I do actually love my job, but it's amazing how misleading social media can be! I see girls writing on peoples insta all the time 'I wish I was you' or 'you have the most amazing life' (not on my insta may I add!!ha) but really, we have NO idea what their life is like, they could work at Tesco or be a window-cleaner day-to-day just uber good at taking pics of themselves in pretty clothes & posting pics, I just think it's a dangerous world for girls to aspire to something that is sometimes un-achievable or in some cases, fake! I dont really know where I'm going with this rant.. just getting some thoughts out my head...

I've had a few Cordelia orders today which has been fab, I genuinely get SO excited every single time an order comes through, I'm going to get my creative cap on this week & try get a new one thought of.. feel free to send me any ideas you have! Love the inspo that people tag me in on instagram @cordelia_hearts all the time, it makes my day!.. but baring that in mind, I def want them to be as original as possible, there are a lot of slogan tee companies out there doing the same thing so try my best to avoid slogans already out there..

Ok, so my boyfriend has suggested we play a drinking game whilst watching the game.. a sip of drink everytime the ref blows the whistle.. something tells me he's trying to get me drunk!!

Have a fabulous weekend girls (and boys if any reading!) the next post will be about fashion don't panic.. just wanted to mix things up abit! <3

Le Lapin

Oh hey there!

Sorry it's been a while since my last post, I've had a lot on & it's been doing my head in as all I've wanted to do is write about the most amazing jewellery I've stumbled across on instagram called Le Lapin . It is simply BEAUTIFUL!

Before I go any further with this.. bare in mind if you buy anything.. use the code 'cordelia' at the checkout to receive 10% off!!

A little bit about Le Lapin..

Le Lapin is fairly new on the scene but every time I check their instagram @lelapinuk it's obvious to see they are getting noticed more & more by the day, the lovely Claudia Barnett who founded the company in 2013 has a very keen eye for vintage, modern & costume jewellery that has you captivated, I for one have literally fallen in love with all that she sells & have a list as long as my arm of stuff to buy on payday!

Claudia started by selling jewellery on eBay & after soon discovering that she was destined to have her own creative outlet - Le Lapin was born! I'm really excited for her & looking forward to watch her company grow & can only hope that this blogpost helps with that :)

So those of you who follow my instagram @cordelia_hearts will have seen me post a few photos already - the first one when I was being an absolute girl & fell in love with the pretty Le Lapin packaging & took a pic before I even removed the jewellery itself!.. & then the next few being close ups of the necklaces or me posing away wearing them..
This is just some of the gorgeousness that arrives with your purchase! To me, details like this are everything!

I received the Sabine Necklace which has the beautiful crystal pendant on the end, which is only £12.99! & the Arcadia Necklace which is only £5.99! Bet you weren't expecting that were you! - Right bargains! I'm not sure if they were sent to me intentionally to wear together or not, but straight away I noticed that the Sabine was longer & they were both around my neck within seconds!

Said posing picture as mentioned previous.. (Worn with my Elizabeth Margaret Hill necklace) (I'm so embarrassed at how dirty my mirror looks in this image!! criiiinge!!)

I love these next images, I found some flowers on my dressing table which I had picked up from my friends wedding last year & thought I'd get a bit arty on you.. to be honest the picture doesn't do the Sabine Necklace any justice as you can't see how the crystals pick up the light and shimmer from it, but if you have a look on www.lelapin.co.uk Claudia's photos are so much clearer & you'll see exactly what I mean!

These Alodie Stacking Rings below are probably my most favourite pieces on the website at the minute, they are 22k gold plated brass & their is a selection of semi-precious stones to choose from & £10 each- & if you want 3 like pictured, then you're in luck my friend, as this link will take you to the 3 for £25 offer!

Just a couple more pics of me from my Instagram wearing both the Sabine & the Arcadia, they literally compliment everything I wear..

... but, if I wanted to mix things up abit & switch to silver... I'm again, spoilt for choice!! Check out these stunners..
This is the Corinthia ring, absolutely stunning and only £14.99..
..and these beauts are called Atika and only £12.99 each!

Le Lapin don't just stop with jewellery, they also stock some gorgeous floral hair pieces & body jewellery, it's free delivery if you spend over £45 & lets be honest, that's not going to be too challenging is it!

I quickly fell in love with Le Lapin & started liking literally everything that was posted on their insta.. but it was this one that really sold me..

..... A company after my own heart!!!

I was trying to think of a really cheesy line, something along the lines of 'I'm le lappin' up all that Le Lapin have to offer' but my gosh.. that's shocking right?! ;)

Be sure to let me know if you buy anything & tag @cordelia_hearts or @bellahearts_ in your post!
Would love to have a nosey at  your purchases!

Love
